How to contact Staff

LAN rules

1. It is prohibited to annoy, threaten or to embarass in any way, another player or a staff member. It's also prohibited to voluntarily attract the attention towards another player who does not wish it. For further information, please refer to the Harassment page

   
   
   
   

2. It is prohibited to take advantage of game mechanics in order to commit non permitted actions, for more information please refer to the Harassment page

   
   
   
   

3. It is prohibited to use offensive language or sexual based language, even if its not aimed at another player. It's particularly prohibited to use a offensive language aimed at anyones religion, race, sex, or just offensive language.

   
   
   
   

4. It's prohibited to create any guild or group of persons whose aim, even if secondary, is to favor racism, religious intolerance or discrimination of sex, or the intolerance towards sexuality gay or all in a generalized manner in any way.

   
   
   
   

5. It is prohibited to violate any local, national or international law.

   
   
   
   

6. It is prohibited to organise an exchange of illegal material (movies, music, etc) through the server of UODreams.

   
   
   
   

7. It is prohibited to impersonate any member of the staff of UODreams or GamesNet.

   
   
   
   

8. It is prohibited to pubblicise through the services offerred - any service, product or company not affiliated with UODreams and/or GamesNet.

   
   
   
   

9. It is prohibited to communicate through the server of UODreams any personal data of any players, real name, last name, etc

   
   
   
   

10. It is prohibited to modify in any way any code (with the only exception of the modification necessary in order to remove the encryption) of the game of Ultima Online. This includes several hacks in order to see in the night and in the darkness in the Dungeons: these are not allowed.

    
    
    
    

11. It is prohibited to take advantage of, or abuse, any type of bug, exploit or loophole in the game mechanics which allows profit or unfair advantage over other players. It is moreover prohibited to communicate such bugs, exploits or loopholes to other players either via the game, forum, or any other means. It is obligatory to inform the staff immediately upon discovery of such a bug, exploit or loophole.

    
    
    
    

12. It is prohibited to use the services of UODreams in any way (even if secondary) to copy formulations or implementations in order then to program them into a non-affiliated shard to Gamesnet.

    
    
    
    

13. When you name a character, a house or a pet/animal you must follow the following rules:

    
    
    
    
    • The name must not have to annoy, to defame, to threaten indirectly or to cause embarrassment to anyone.
    • No names are allowed that are linked to Gamesnet or UODreams or any member of the staff.
    • The name cannot be a name of an NPC, monster, object or personages of the background of UO.
    • The name must not have combinations of words that can mean an offense. This includes also dialectal expressions.
    • The name may not make direct or indirect references to serial killers or people who have been condemned for crimes against humanity in the previous 100 years.
    • Staff judgement about name can't be argued.
    
    
    
    

14. It is prohibited to use a any type of external program that can cause intentional or previewed phenomena from the developers of UODreams ("exploit") or anything that gives an unjust advantage in respect to other players (includes the so-called "speedhack" and "gear"). The programs that facilitate macros (like "EasyUO", "Razor") are considered legal.

    
    
    
    

15. If you are in the course of a quest, it is obligatory to follow the Quest's regulations

    
    
    
    

16. It is prohibited to misuse the services offered by the staff - not necessary UODreams. As an example, it is prohibited to make a page without a genuine reason. For more information on this topic, click here.

    
    
    
    

17. You are not allowed to move away champions from their spawn location in order to block the spawn.

    
    
    
    

18. It is prohibited "to spam" - this is to repeat continuously the same phrase or the same group of phrases, being made to appear a new phrase before the last phrase has dissappeared. For vendors who advertise their goodses in game it is allowed only a two lines phrase in lower case.

    
    
    
    

19. It is prohibited to block one or any area or a passage through the use of boats.

    
    
    
    

20. It is prohibited to provoke in an intentional way any type of malfunction of the services of UODreams.

    
    
    
    

21. Away macroing is not allowed. Except for raising skills, stats, resources farming and bod gathering if your action do not disturb other players.
    NPC interaction is only allowed in matter of BOD collecting and turning.
    It's prohibited to speculate with the NPC vendor system, for example buying a large amount of items from a vendor and selling them to another vendor at an higher price.
    It's also prohibited to buy items from a vendor, use them to craft items and resell the crafted items to NPC in order to gain money.
    This rule does not apply to private vendors.

    
    
    
    

22. It's forbidden to leave great quantities of item laying around,since they could create lag or disturb the movemente of other players.

    
    
    
    

23. It is obligatory to follow the regulations of the contract of GamesNet.

    
    
    

24. It is forbidden, in any case, to sell or try selling accounts or ingame items for real money. It is also forbidden to buy or try buying accounts or items.

    
    
    
    

25. To protect the correct and regular game "life" and forum discussions, the Staff is allowed to examine any single in game or forum case. Also where the elements are new or not contemplated by our rules, will be applied common sense and normal diligence, always in respect of the entire Community, the Shard, the single Users and the Staff. Any behavior that has a clear polemical or offensive intent will be immediately stopped and punished. It is anyway allowed to ask for explanations, through e-mail and private messages but always in a private way and directly to Staff of competence.

We advise users to always check forum to be up to date about news, implementation and changes.

What happens when you break the rules

In the event that you break one of these rules - you run the risk of being jailed for a determined length based upon the rule and how severe it was broken. In the event that you break one of the regulations of GamesNet - you run the risk of the deletion of your entire GamesNet account. There are certain other effects of breaking certain rules which are:

• In the event of spamming, the staff can mute your character - thus you will not have the ability to speak until the server restart (usually performed in the morning); muted player keeps up the ability to use guild and alliance chat.
  
  
• Use of illegal names for characters, houses or animals - staff will delete/rename the offending named item; in extreme cases transgressor will be jailed.
  
  
• Items that obstruct any passages (boats, etc) will be deleted/removed; in extreme cases of harrasment transgressor will be jailed.
  
  
• Speculate with NPCs is punished with jail and deletion of all golds and items acquired in this way. If the violation is more serious,there is also the risk of ban.
  
  
• Staff Impersoning without rights, taking or not advantage, is punished with jail; in extreme cases there is also the risk of ban/wipe account.
  

Contacting the Staff of UODreams

It is possible to communicate with the staff, inside or outside of the game, using three ways. These means have been conceived for this purpose to enable you to get help/assistance when you need it most.

• Paging from the UODreams Website.

  You must be logged into the website using your account details and you can then page using the relevant tag from the menu on the right of your screen.

  
  
• Private message through the forums

  You must be logged into the forums of GamesNet using your account and you can then send a private message through the forums.
  
  
• Send an email to the Admins of UODreams
  
  
  click on signature to send an e-mail
  

Please Note: The forums are NOT a way to contact the Staff, except through PMs.

Every account of the LAN must report his own account and the others that wants to put into the LAN with associated reasons on NOTE (no irregular and occasional LAN are allowed) The sent report will be in waiting phase (ready to be accepted) but is however possible to login in LAN, according to the following rules:

• With only one pc: Using only one pc:
  Do not login more account at the same time; wait 30 minutes between a login of an account and another one (Account A logout - 30 Mins Wait - Account B Login)

  
  

• With more pc: Using more pcs:
  It is possible to login with more account together, but no one must be find away in case of a control

Every violations of this rules will imply the reject of the LAN with relative sanctions applicable in case of Multi/Share accounts.
